I am a mom, first and foremost

As a speech-language pathologist, I understand children. And as a mother, I understand the challenges of parenting. As I weave together my parenting experience with my professional expertise, I will help you navigate this journey, and provide you with a solid framework to bring your children to their fullest potential. I am passionate about teaching families meaningful ways of engaging with their little ones. The best way for me to support this philosophy is to come to your home. My mission is to help your child thrive in his or her natural environment, and where you, as a parent, can directly learn strategies from me to best scaffold your child’s learning process.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University, where I studied Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. I then received my Master of Science degree from Hunter College in Speech Language Pathology. I hold my Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). I am licensed in the states of New York and New Jersey. I am a member of the International Association of Tongue-Tie Professionals (IATP). I also speak Russian fluently.

I have been involved in child development for over 15 years, working in various Early Intervention settings with the birth to 3 population. There, my passion for early language learning and feeding development grew. I have an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) background, giving me expertise not only with the Autism Spectrum population but with children of all abilities. I am PROMPT trained, working with children who have motor planning challenges. I specialize in children with feeding difficulties and disorders, ranging from oral motor challenges to extremely self-limited diets (“picky eaters”). I’ve also worked with a wide range of school-aged children, targeting critical thinking skills, pragmatic and social skills, and executive functioning. In addition to speech, language, and feeding therapy, I am highly trained in the structural and functional identification, assessment, and post-operative remediation of tongue and lip ties. As both of my children were born with tethered oral tissues (TOTS), my mission is to help families identify any possible ties as early as possible.

“With the help of Becky's weekly sessions, our daughter who once was a very difficult, slow, and timid eater is now thriving, eating independently and enjoying her meals. Becky's keen eye, training, and patience have been life-changing for our child and we are forever indebted to her.”
